Weihai Jinling delivers the 10th high-end passenger-roll-on/roll-off ship built for STENA

On March 28, the 10th 3100-meter lane high-end passenger and ro-ro vessel (W0279) built by CIMC Raffles Weihai for STENA was launched. Representatives from the STENA ship owner's on-site supervision group and the DNV classification society's on-site inspection group, General Manager Zheng Hehui, and Deputy General Managers Liu Xin Nan and Zhou Zhengbing witnessed the ceremony. MAI and some STENA owners participated in the ceremony remotely via video.
With the application of new regulations and standards such as SOLAS2020 and CTA, and new class notations such as COMF-V(1) and Cybersecure, the control of ship weight and center of gravity, and new systems, equipment, and interfaces have brought certain difficulties to the design work. The project team, together with the production and technology departments, implemented refined management, based on the characteristics of each area and system, combined with design confirmation and material delivery dates, breaking down key projects, optimizing the procedures and processes for large equipment entering the cabin, developing detailed inspection tables, actively coordinating energy and supporting equipment and facilities, and orderly advancing various professional projects.
Currently, the shafting installation, bow and stern door testing, and outer plate spraying have been completed, laying a good foundation for subsequent mooring tests.
