Recently, the 712th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) jointly held a technical exchange event on Ship Intelligence and New Energy with a number of cooperative units. The event focused on special discussions and exchanges regarding the development directions and innovative technologies of intelligent ship applications and new energy power technologies. Liu Liang, Director General of the Yangtze River Navigation Administration, Wang Haiyu, Director General of the Yangtze River Maritime Safety Administration, Xu Li, General Manager of China Classification Society (CCS) Wuhan Branch, Wu Weiguo, Chief Professor of Wuhan University of Technology, Jia Xianglong, General Manager of Jining Energy New Energy Ship Technology Co., Ltd., and Gui Wenbin, Director of the 712th Research Institute, attended the exchange event. Li Mingyong and Yu Hao, Deputy Directors of the 712th Research Institute, as well as relevant personnel from all parties, also participated in the event.
The guests visited products developed by the 712th Research Institute, including the marine intelligent cockpit, intelligent kitchen, and the new-generation marine container battery, and highly praised their technical advantages and innovative achievements. During the seminar, Long Fei, Chief Expert of the Institute, represented the innovation team in introducing a number of research results and application cases in the field of intelligence. All parties conducted in-depth discussions on the development path and cooperation direction of ship intelligence in the Yangtze River Basin. In line with the principle of "complementary advantages, collaborative innovation, and common development", the New Energy and Intelligent Innovation Studio of CCS Wuhan Branch and the representative of the innovation team of the 712th Research Institute jointly signed a cooperation agreement on the application of ship new energy and intelligent technologies.
Liu Liang emphasized the key position of the Yangtze River Basin in China's shipping industry and pointed out the important significance of promoting the intelligent and green development of ships in this region. Xu Li proposed that efforts should be made to synergistically advance the research and development of new ship types and new products, as well as the formulation of corresponding specifications and guidelines, so as to provide standard support for the application of innovative technologies. In addition, all parties also exchanged views on feasible paths such as how to deeply integrate traditional marine mechanical equipment with intelligent and digital technologies to achieve technological empowerment.
Gui Wenbin pointed out that the suggestions put forward by the participating experts are very valuable, and the directions indicated are highly consistent with the research work being carried out by the 712th Research Institute. He expressed the expectation of taking this opportunity to establish a regular cooperation mechanism and jointly promote the construction of a green and intelligent shipping system in the Yangtze River.
