On July 25, ZPMC Qidong Offshore delivered the "Haifeng 2001," a 4000-ton fully revolving crane vessel integrating construction and transportation, built for China Communications Construction Haifeng Wind Power. Huang Chen, Deputy Mayor of Qidong City; Huang Yi, Assistant General Manager of the Supply Chain Management Department of China Communications Construction Group; Gong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Third Harbor Engineering Bureau of China Communications Construction; Ji Zhenxiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Communications Construction Haifeng Wind Power; Sun Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Communications Construction Haifeng Wind Power; and Ou Huisheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of ZPMC, attended the ceremony. Zhao Long, Deputy General Manager of China Communications Construction Haifeng Wind Power, and heads of relevant departments and business units also participated.

Deputy Mayor Huang Chen, General Manager Gong Hai, and President Ou Huisheng delivered speeches. Ji Zhenxiang expressed gratitude to all participating units involved in construction, design, and supervision, encouraging continued deep cooperation and mutual benefit, guided by craftsmanship, to create more high-performance, high-quality national heavy equipment, contributing China Communications' wisdom and excellent solutions to the offshore wind power industry.

Ji Zhenxiang highly praised the significance of the successful delivery of "Haifeng 2001." He hoped that in future collaborations, all parties would continue to uphold the principles of deep cooperation and mutual benefit, guided by craftsmanship and the pursuit of excellence, to create high-performance, high-quality national heavy equipment, contributing China Communications' wisdom and excellent solutions to the offshore wind power industry.

Ou Huisheng stated that ZPMC is willing to deepen cooperation and maintain friendship with relevant units, pursuing dreams in the offshore wind power field and working together to contribute to the nation's achievement of the 3060 dual-carbon goals. He hoped that all construction units would firmly adhere to the goal of high-quality vessel delivery, maintaining the delivery schedule for the 2500-ton and 1800-ton wind power installation platforms, making each project a benchmark in the industry, enhancing the reputation of China Communications' offshore wind power brand, and contributing more to the development of the national offshore wind power industry.

"Haifeng 2001" has an overall length of 195 meters, a width of 46.9 meters, and a depth of 16 meters, with a design speed of 10 knots. The vessel adopts the latest engineering design concepts and advanced technologies, possessing excellent operational performance and reliability. A large marine engineering crane with a lifting capacity of 4000 tons (fixed tail crane) and 3000 tons (fully revolving crane) is installed at the stern. It has DP-2 dynamic positioning capabilities, an 8-point mooring system, and a 6.6 kV high-voltage power distribution system. The vessel's design fully considers new technologies and intelligent applications, leading the nation in energy efficiency and public safety standards.

After delivery, this project will be used for the construction of various foundations, including monopiles and jacket structures, for 15-20 MW and above units. A single vessel can complete major processes such as port loading, sea transportation, hoisting, and pile driving, meeting the lifting requirements for offshore substations and other major offshore facilities in deep-sea wind farms, providing strong support for improving China's offshore wind power infrastructure equipment level, achieving dual-carbon goals, and developing clean energy.

The project started in March 2022. The project team refined production design and preparations, commencing work on May 16, 2022. The keel laying was completed on September 15, 2022, and the hull was closed on the slipway. Successful launching occurred on April 18, 2023, and sea trials were successfully completed on July 5, 2023, with all performance indicators meeting or exceeding design requirements. The company's project team meticulously planned and strictly controlled processes, completing the task ahead of schedule and achieving timely vessel handover.
