At 8:28 am on July 24, the 49th 82,000-ton bulk carrier built by CSSC Chengxi for CHELLARAM was successfully launched at the Chengxi Yangzhou Company. The ship owner's supervision team, ABS representatives, and the assistant general manager of CSSC Chengxi, and general manager of Yangzhou Company, Luo Fuxiang, jointly witnessed the launch of the new ship.

Since 2023, Yangzhou Company's production has entered the "fast lane", achieving a new goal of complete section transfer 15 days before the 49th 82,000-ton bulk carrier goes on the slipway. Based on sufficient section reserves, the ship's total section assembly rate reached 100%, and the slipway assembly achieved a 60% total section reserve, laying the foundation for the rapid and orderly loading of the slipway. At the same time, the "assembly-first, painting-later" construction process was implemented for the sections. For this ship, a total of 31 sections in the cargo hold ballast area were implemented with 21 sections using the "assembly-first, painting-later" method, accounting for 68%, laying a solid foundation for the rapid loading of the ship; the lower sections of the engine room area continued to implement assembly-first, painting-later, with the lower unit installation complete, and the compartment tightness of the sections completed, effectively advancing the progress of the bottom engineering of the engine room.

Since entering June, high temperatures and frequent rain have occurred. According to the ship's production plan and launch integrity goals, the project team went deep into the site for command, proactively addressing on-site issues. The loading department, general assembly department, and Huarxin Yangzhou branch company organized efficiently and with high morale, forming a "new situation" of rapid and efficient production. The ship went on the slipway on May 30 and was launched on July 24, with a slipway cycle of 55 days. During this period, it experienced 21 days of rainy weather and continuous high temperatures. Through concerted efforts and hard work, it achieved excellent results in slipway construction, including a 25-day one-line main hull construction, 28 days of line-of-sight completion, 17 days before launch for the transfer of the outer plates, and the completion of the outer plate painting 9 days before launch. Before the launch, the ship's engine room structure was completely transferred, all engine room compartments were sealed, all upper compartments in the cargo hold area were inspected and accepted, compartments 2-6 were completely inspected and accepted, and the main hull structure achieved "zero tail-end work"; the engine room system installation was basically completed, with 16 sets of system inspections completed, all ship cables were installed, the main equipment wiring was completed, and 80% of the deck outfitting was completed; all ballast tank painting was completed, and the bow, piping, and compartments 4-6 were painted.

This ship is the second 82,000-series ship built by the Yangzhou Company. Compared to the 48th 82,000-ton bulk carrier of the same series built a year ago, the same project, the same season, yet different achievements. CSSC Chengxi Yangzhou Company is achieving a leap forward with the belief of self-revolution and comprehensive improvement, continuing to forge ahead and strive for excellence to achieve new production peaks for the company and make new contributions to CSSC Chengxi's "three exceeding 6 billion" goal.
