New Yangzi Shipbuilding delivers the 6th 4600TEU container ship to Naka Line

      On the morning of March 23, at 8:58 AM, the sixth 4600TEU container ship newly built and delivered by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group's New Yangzi Shipbuilding for COSCO SHIPPING Lines, the "COSCO Shenyang", set sail from the New Yangzi wharf.

It is understood that COSCO Logistics signed an order for 18 SEALION 4600 series 4600TEU container ships with domestic shipyards in 2021, including 10 from Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and 8 from CSSC Nanjing Jinling Shipyard.

This type of SEALION 4600 series container ship was designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, classed by CCS, with an overall length of 228 meters, a molded breadth of 40 meters, a molded depth of 19.6 meters, a design speed of 15 knots, a design draft of 13.75 meters, a gross tonnage of 54466, and a capacity of 4636 standard containers. It supports the loading of refrigerated containers and railway containers, has strong cargo adaptability, and mainly serves the domestic coastal north-south lines and short-haul routes in the Asian region. In addition, this type of ship has G-EP and G-ECO additional marks, achieving the goals of green shipbuilding, safety and environmental protection, and energy saving and emission reduction.

"COSCO Shenyang" is the sixth green vessel built in cooperation between COSCO and Yangzijiang with ecological protection and environmental protection additional marks. On March 22, both parties completed the delivery of the vessel via electronic signature. The "COSCO Shenyang" is an international near-sea container ship, mainly serving domestic coastal north-south container transportation and short-haul routes within the Asian region, realizing bulk container transportation, and comprehensively promoting COSCO Logistics' green, low-carbon, and intelligent development strategy.
