Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry laid the keel for the first 63600-ton bulk carrier for KC MARITIME

At 10:28 am on March 21, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry held a keel-laying ceremony for the 63,600-ton bulk carrier N1103 project, built for KC MARITIME HONGKONG LIMITED, at the company's No. 2 dock.

The ceremony was attended by PRAKASH NARAYANA, Resident Surveyor of the ship owner; Zhao Hongbo, Resident Project Manager of ABS; Su Yu and Chen Xiaoliang, Deputy General Managers of Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry; and representatives from the project team.

The N1103 project is the first of two 63,600-ton bulk carriers for KC MARITIME HONGKONG LIMITED. The vessel has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a breadth of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.85 meters, and a design draft of 13.5 meters.

As of now, Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry has successfully laid the keels of 3 out of 17 planned 63,600-ton bulk carriers. The first vessel has been successfully launched and is expected to undergo sea trials soon, with delivery anticipated in the near future.
