Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. starts construction on the fifth 2900TEU container ship for EPS.

On the morning of March 1st, at 9 am, Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry held a successful launch ceremony for the fifth vessel (MW465-5#) in the 2900TEU container ship series built for East Pacific Shipping (EPS) in the manufacturing department workshop. Relevant company leaders, the ship owner's on-site supervision team, and representatives from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) attended the launch ceremony.

The series of ships are 185.99 meters long, 35.2 meters wide, 17.2 meters deep, with a design draft of 9.5 meters, and meet the EEDI Phase Ⅲ standard. With the ship owner's representative pressing the button to ignite the numerical control cutting, the construction of the ship officially commenced. After the ceremony, guests and leaders took commemorative photos at the launch site.

Xiamen Shipbuilding Heavy Industry will continue to leverage its strengths, consolidate its production and construction foundation, comprehensively improve project safety and quality, and fully ensure the smooth progress of subsequent shipbuilding nodes.
