Sun Bo, former general manager of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, has been formally arrested.

According to the Supreme People's Procuratorate's website, the case of Sun Bo, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Limited, involving suspected bribery and abuse of power by a state-owned company employee, has been concluded by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution. Recently, the Supreme People's Procuratorate legally decided to arrest Sun Bo on suspicion of bribery and abuse of power by a state-owned company employee. The case is under further investigation.
Previously, in accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China" and the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," after deliberation by the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, it was decided to expel Sun Bo from the Party; the National Supervisory Commission gave him the punishment of dismissal from public office; confiscated his illegal gains; and transferred his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, with the relevant assets transferred along with the case.
According to previously released information, investigations revealed that Sun Bo violated political discipline and political rules, deviated from the requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, fabricated false information, and harmed the interests of state-owned enterprises; during the inspection, he concealed the truth and deceived the organization; his ideals and beliefs wavered, and he engaged in feudal superstitious activities for a long time. He violated the spirit of the eight-point regulation of the Central Committee, accepting banquets that may have affected the impartial execution of his duties. He violated organizational discipline, failing to truthfully explain the issues to the organization during organizational talks, and using his position to facilitate the irregular transfer of his family members' work. He violated the discipline of integrity, illegally seeking benefits for the business activities of relatives and friends. He abused his power, causing particularly serious losses to national interests, suspected of the crime of abuse of power by a state-owned company employee; and used his position to seek benefits for others and accepted money and gifts, suspected of bribery.
