MAN provides main engines for the world's largest container ships

"Cosco Global" container ship is currently the world's largest container ship, and has been officially delivered and held its maiden voyage ceremony. According to MAN, although Maersk and Wartsila ( Ship Machine Bay   Location )may claim that its "Emma Maersk" 81MW 14RTFlex96C engine is the most powerful engine ever, but this title should now belong to the MAN B&W 12S90ME-C Mark 9.2 main engine. The engine has a rated power of 84rpm supplying 69,720kW, although it has been reduced to 56,800kW in current applications.

"Cosco Global" container ship was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Hyundai Heavy Industries has obtained HHI-EMD license, and its engine manufacturing department manufactured the engine. Previously, the largest engine built by MAN was 12K98MC7.
