In January 2013, Jiangyang Cable obtained three national patent authorizations for products including lightweight heat-resistant cables for ship engines, cables for ship modular instruments, and coaxial conductor ship cables. In September 2013, its developed marine engineering cables, RFOU P1/P8 and BU P17, obtained ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) certification; at the end of March this year, it also obtained ABS certification for P15 UX three series of marine engineering cables; the DNV (Det Norske Veritas) certificate for marine engineering cables is also under application. The acquisition of these certificates further broadened the company's applicable range of ship and marine engineering products, laying the foundation for entering the upstream supporting market of ships and marine engineering and expanding the company's survival space.
While accelerating product development, Jiangyang Cable Company is also actively carrying out marketing work. In March of this year, Jiangyang Cable successively signed orders for 180,000-ton bulk carriers from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., 300,000-ton VLCCs (Very Large Crude Carriers), R-550D self-elevating drilling platforms from CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., 12-cable geophysical survey vessels from Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd., and marine engineering cables for 12,000-horsepower three-purpose workboats, achieving a major breakthrough in the production and application of its marine engineering cables. Through active efforts, in March 2013, Jiangyang Cable Company was also included in the short list of procurement suppliers of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and recently had business dealings with CNOOC Oilfield Services Company, and the product business volume has grown from nothing. In addition, at the end of 2013, Jiangyang Cable Company successfully passed the on-site review of GJB5713-2006 equipment manufacturing qualification, marking a good start for the company to open up the military market, which is conducive to improving corporate efficiency, enhancing corporate competitiveness, and will play a good role in promoting the long-term development of the enterprise.
To ensure that Jiangyang Cable Company successfully achieves transformation, the company also actively does a good job of serving ship enterprises, establishing customer service departments for CNOOC, CSSC Group, and military products, and providing truly valuable services to major customers based on their actual needs, helping customers better use their products. In 2014, the company actively provided cable pre-cutting and segmentation services for Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and CSSC Chengxi Ship Repair Co., Ltd., and delivered them in advance, effectively reducing the shipyard's construction period and unnecessary cable occupation.
