Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine establishes R&D center

       11  Month 7  On the date, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering announced in a filing submitted to regulators its decision to invest 6030 billion KRW ( 5.68  billion USD) to establish a research and development engineering center in the Mapo Industrial Complex in Seoul.

The investment amount is equivalent to 13.2% of its equity capital, with an investment period from 2013  year 11  Month 7  to 2019  year 12  Month 31  date.

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering stated that the investment in the research and development engineering center aims to consolidate and enhance the research and development engineering capabilities of its shipbuilding and offshore engineering departments. The investment includes the purchase of new R&D equipment and land lease.
