Daewoo Shipbuilding wins order for 10 10,000TEU container ships

December 16 ， Zodiac Maritime announced the signing of a contract with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for the construction of 6+4 vessels 10000TEU environmentally friendly container ships ( Ship type, shipyard, sale and purchase ) construction contract, and obtained a long-term charter contract from Hyundai Merchant Marine ( HMM ) Eyal Ofer and his son Danie both attended the official signing ceremony at the London headquarters.

Eyal Ofer's holding company Zodiac Maritime did not disclose the price of the new ship and the charter price. The first new ship will be delivered in the 2016 first half of the year.

It is understood that once this series of ships is delivered and put into operation, it will make its fleet operations more efficient.

Currently, the reference price available on the market is that in 10 month, New Yangzi Shipbuilding and Yangzi Xinfu received Seaspan obtained 5 vessels 10000TEU container ships, each priced at 9000 million US dollars.
