US Shipowners Interlink Maritime Gangkou Shipbuilding ( Location Comments News ) of 5 vessels 38800DWT bulk carriers ( Ship type Shipyard Buying and selling ) The optional order officially came into effect, bringing the number of handysize bulk carriers ordered from the shipyard to 10 vessels.
It is understood that in 9 month this year, Gangkou Shipbuilding and Interlink Maritime signed 5+5 vessels 38800DWT bulk carrier construction contract, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery at the end of 2015 year 3 month.
It is understood that, Interlink Maritime in addition to this 10 vessels 38800DWT bulk carrier order, there are also additional 5 vessels 38800DWT bulk carrier optional orders. Currently, the 10 handysize bulk carriers ordered from Gangkou Shipbuilding will be delivered in 2015 year and 2016 year, and the additional 5 optional orders are expected to be delivered in 2017 year.
Interlink Maritime did not disclose the price of the newbuildings. This series of vessels was jointly developed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, Wärtsilä ( Ship machinery warehouse Location ) ship design and DNV GL jointly developed "Green Dolphin 38 " environmentally friendly handysize bulk carriers, with an estimated price of 2200 million USD to 2300 million USD.
