Qingshan Shipyard receives an order for one 38,700-deadweight-ton bulk carrier

Qingshan Shipyard has received another order for a 38,700-deadweight-ton bulk carrier from Croatian shipowner Atlantska Plovidba.

Qingshan Shipyard signed a contract with Croatia's Atlantska Plovidba in April this year for the construction of 2+2 38700 DWT Handysize bulk carriers. The deadline for the two optional orders is the end of November this year and the end of January 2014, respectively. This order is one of the optional orders that has officially come into effect.

The two confirmed vessels in the initial contract are scheduled for delivery in March and October 2015, while the optional vessel, signed this time, will be delivered in July 2015.

In addition, Atlantska has stated that the newly built Handysize bulk carrier incorporates a new design that significantly reduces fuel consumption.
