Recently, China Shipbuilding Seventh O China Shipbuilding (Shanghai) Energy-Saving Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Second Institute under China Shipbuilding Corporation, has independently developed and produced an innovative energy-saving device ——5m level wind-assisted rotor, " Yue Dian 83" successfully bid for the project of installing a rotary cylinder sail on the vessel, securing the first domestic order for the application of independently developed extra-large wind-assisted rotors on large bulk carriers.
The wind-assisted rotor system that won the bid has a diameter 5m specifications, with a maximum sustainable operating speed of 180 rpm, and a maximum thrust of 300kN or more. The system is equipped with a movable mechanism, fully adaptable to 8 10,000-ton class bulk carrier loading and unloading operations. " Yue Dian 83" After installing 2 sets of rotary cylinder sails on the vessel, 5%-8% energy savings can be achieved depending on the route, with an estimated fuel saving of approximately 2 tons / per day, and a yearly reduction in marine greenhouse gas emissions of 1600 tons. This achieves a win-win situation in terms of economic and social value, effectively solving 8 the bottleneck problem of energy saving, emission reduction, and carbon intensity rating improvement for 10,000-ton and above transport vessels.
Next, China Shipbuilding Seventh O Institute will strengthen communication and exchange with client units, enhance product innovation and upgrading in R&D technology and installation and commissioning, integrate quality management throughout the entire process, strictly control production and delivery, and deliver satisfactory results to clients.
