Recently, it was learned from the 2009 Textile Industry Economic Operation Analysis Conference that from January to November 2009, the total import and export value of textile machinery was US$3.373 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 32.45%. The import and export trade of the textile machinery industry continued its downward trend since the beginning of the year, and the weakness of both domestic and foreign demand markets has become a prominent problem for the industry's development.
With the emergence of signs of recovery in the global economy and the continuous manifestation of the effects of a series of domestic policies to "support foreign demand, promote exports, and protect market share," the decline in foreign trade import and export has been continuously narrowing. However, due to the persistence of some unfavorable factors that constrain the industry's development, such as the unstable global economic recovery, the lingering impact of the financial crisis, the unchanged consumer sentiment, and the increasingly serious international trade protectionism, these factors will have a certain impact on the textile machinery industry.
From January to November 2009, the production and sales situation in the textile machinery industry showed an upward trend: From January to November, the total industrial output value was 57.66 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.61%, and the growth rate increased by 12.68 percentage points year-on-year; the industrial sales output value was 56.898 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.61%; the production-sales ratio was 97.82%, an increase of 1.88 percentage points year-on-year. To promote economic development, the state has adopted a series of positive policies to encourage foreign trade development and maintain export market share: vigorously addressing the difficulties faced by foreign trade enterprises in obtaining financing; supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in developing international markets, cultivating export brands, and establishing independent marketing networks; implementing cross-border RMB settlement, expanding the scope of RMB swap agreements to help enterprises avoid exchange rate risks and promote bilateral trade; the introduction of the Textile Industry Adjustment and Revitalization Plan... These favorable policies have provided strong support for the recovery of the textile machinery industry.
Affected by the domestic and international economic environment, stabilizing foreign demand markets and expanding domestic demand markets will be the focus of the textile machinery industry's future development.
