Waigaoqiao Marine Engineering Qidong Branch officially unveiled and commenced operations

On the morning of March 6, the opening ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony for the Qidong branch of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. was held in the Shipbuilding Industrial Park of Qidong City, Jiangsu Province. Wang Qi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding; Yuan Feipeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Wu Yongjun, Assistant General Manager of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering; Guo Changlin, General Supervisor of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding; Chen Jianwei, General Manager of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering; Zhang Cong, General Manager of Honghua Marine (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.; and Feng Qi, General Manager of Honghua Marine (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony.

Yuan Feipeng and Chen Jianwei jointly unveiled the sign for the Qidong branch of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering. Subsequently, under the witness of the guests, Wu Yongjun and Zhang Cong pressed the ignition button, officially commencing production at the Qidong branch of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering.

Wang Qi and his entourage listened to a special report from Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering on the system construction, production tasks, and future prospects of the Qidong branch, and highly praised the high quality and efficiency demonstrated throughout the establishment process. He pointed out that "high standards, high efficiency, high quality, and high returns" are the goals and development direction of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in implementing the high-quality development strategy of CSSC (China State Shipbuilding Corporation). The establishment of the Qidong branch is a bold innovation and a solid step forward for Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering in the non-shipbuilding sector. He urged Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering to dare to reform, continuously innovate and explore management mechanisms, break away from outdated thinking, and proactively achieve high-efficiency results through market-oriented economic management models. All levels of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering should strengthen system integration, enhance quality improvement and safety management, fully support the capacity transfer after the launch of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding's large cruise ship project, continuously expand scale, strengthen capabilities, refine products, and become a strong backing for Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.

On January 22 this year, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering signed a cooperation agreement with Honghua Marine Oil and Gas Equipment (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. After careful research and planning, resource management expansion, and full implementation of spatial layout, Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering and Honghua Marine reached a cooperation consensus. Wang Qi pointed out that marine engineering is the main business of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and an indispensable strategic product for CSSC's development vision of becoming a world-class marine science and technology industrial group. The bold innovation of Honghua Marine in the marine engineering industry chain is admirable. The prospects for cooperation between the two parties in marine engineering are broad. It is hoped that a high-level docking mechanism will be established, multi-dimensional innovative cooperation will be carried out, continuous breakthroughs will be made in the marine industrial chain, and an industrial cooperation model of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation will be established.

Since January this year, Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering has been preparing for the establishment of the branch company. On February 16, the Qidong project team was established. The project team carried out overall planning, careful coordination, special supervision and inspection, production preparation, and ship owner factory inspection, and quickly organized system construction and human resource structure. With the strong support of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and the efforts of various departments of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering, through a rapid action and efficient deployment in just half a month, Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering successfully obtained the business license for the branch company. All production preparations are proceeding in an orderly manner, and on-site production is fully underway, truly reflecting the principle of "high-standard plan execution and high-efficiency resource allocation".

The Qidong branch of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering mainly undertakes production and operation activities such as ship equipment and non-shipbuilding businesses. It is a practical implementation of Waigaoqiao Offshore Engineering's rapid response to the "three-wing flying" strategic requirements of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for civilian ships, marine engineering, and cruise ship construction, comprehensively carrying out spatial layout and expanding production capacity resources.
