On the morning of November 12, Nantong Pacific Ocean Engineering ( Location   Comments   News )Haigong and Yangzhou Danyang Shipbuilding ( Location   Comments   News ) jointly built the world's largest 38,000 cubic meter ethylene/ethane carrier, S1035, delivery ceremony was successfully held at the Danyang Shipbuilding dock. Representatives from the Norwegian shipowner Ocean Yield and operator Hartmann, Huihong Zhongding, Kaiyuan Shipbuilding, banks and other parties attended the ceremony. It is reported that the naming ceremony will be held by the lessee Sabic in the UK.

This vessel is the first of the EcoStar 36K series, classed by DNV GL. This vessel has created three world firsts. First, this type of vessel is currently the world's largest ethylene/ethane carrier. Although it is a 36K series, the measured volume reaches 38,000 cubic meters; second, this vessel is the world's first to be equipped with three independent C-type tanks LPG carrier ( Ship type   Shipyard   Trading ), compared with traditional vessels of the same size, it has increased the loading capacity by 30%; third, this vessel is equipped with the world's first tri-fuel ME-GIE low-speed engine Main engine ( Product library   Purchase request   Supply ), which can use ethane, natural gas and traditional diesel as three recommended fuels, meeting both environmental requirements and the economic efficiency of the vessel. In addition, the vessel's efficient hull line design and new rudder propeller system greatly reduce fuel consumption, giving the vessel excellent energy-saving and environmental protection performance.

What is remarkable is that such a "high-end" LPG carrier comes from Pacific Ocean Engineering, which declared bankruptcy in August this year. Moreover, the vessel started sea trials on November 2 and ended on November 8, and was successfully delivered to the shipowner only 4 days later. Such efficient operation is difficult even for normally operating companies. However, with the strong support of the local government, and with the full trust and assistance of the shipowner and Kaiyuan Shipbuilding and other relevant parties, Pacific Ocean Engineering and Danyang Shipbuilding worked together to overcome difficulties and ensure the smooth progress of production, successfully completing the construction and delivery of the first 38,000 cubic meter LEG vessel ( Ship type   Shipyard   Trading )

The successful delivery of this first vessel is an important cornerstone for Pacific Ocean Engineering's transition to reorganization, and will also bring confidence to companies in the industry that are also affected by the cold winter of the shipbuilding market.
