The brand new "COSCO SHIPPING" logo on the Yongsheng ship, which has been successfully repaired, gleams brilliantly in the sun.
On the morning of May 17, the unveiling ceremony for the new "COSCO SHIPPING" logo on the first ship of COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd. was held at Shanghai COSCO Shipyard Engineering Co., Ltd. The Yongsheng ship became the first ship under COSCO SHIPPING Lines to bear the "COSCO SHIPPING" logo after the establishment of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited.
Ms. Cai Meijiang, Deputy General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd., presided over the unveiling ceremony. Mr. Liang Yanfeng, General Manager of COSCO Shipyard Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Liu Yifan, General Manager of the Science and Technology Information Department of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, Ms. Cai Meijiang, Deputy General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Lines, Mr. Yang Zonghui, Deputy General Manager of the Safety and Management Department of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, and Mr. Fu Yuguo, Shanghai Port Manager of Lloyd's Register of Shipping China, along with other leaders and guests, jointly unveiled the new logo on the Yongsheng ship.
The Yongsheng ship of COSCO SHIPPING Lines successfully pioneered the Arctic route for Chinese merchant ships in 2013, becoming the first Chinese merchant ship to successfully reach Europe via the Northeast Passage of the Arctic. This made a significant contribution to China's exploration of the Arctic route. This was the Yongsheng ship's fifth time undergoing repairs at Shanghai COSCO Shipyard. After receiving the repair order, Shanghai COSCO Shipyard made meticulous and thorough arrangements despite the tight schedule and heavy workload. After 9 days and nights of hard work, the repair and replacement of the new logo were completed with high quality and on time. After this repair, the Yongsheng ship is expected to set sail again on the Arctic route in July.
The newly repaired Yongsheng ship successfully "changed its outfit," setting sail with a brand-new image. This marks a new historical stage in the development of COSCO SHIPPING Lines and is a landmark event reflecting the entire system's active implementation of the "four ones" concept and its concerted efforts to build a world-class enterprise after the establishment of the new group. This has positive significance in encouraging all staff and employees to advance reforms and restructuring and win the battle to improve quality and efficiency.
Relevant functional departments of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, COSCO Shipyard Engineering Group Co., Ltd., COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd., and Lloyd's Register of Shipping China, along with other relevant leaders and officials, jointly unveiled the new logo for the Yongsheng ship. Crew members of the Yongsheng ship and some engineering personnel from Shanghai COSCO Shipyard participated in the unveiling ceremony.
