Port ship receives order for 4 bulk carriers of 39,000 tons

Recently, Kou'an Ship Management (Location Comments News) signed a 2+2 contract with Nanjing Yuanhao Shipping for the construction of 39,000 DWT bulk carriers (Ship Type Shipyard Buy/Sell), with delivery expected in 2015.
It is understood that the vessel type is a BOX-type bulk carrier. The shipyard did not disclose the price, but industry insiders estimate it to be between US\$24 million and US\$25 million per vessel.
       Nanjing Yuanhao Shipping started as a ship management company and only recently became involved in ship owning. It currently owns a total of 25 bulk carriers and multi-purpose vessels, 5 of which are owned outright. Last year, the shipowner acquired two vessels—the 32,000 DWT bulk carrier "Cabot Aviva" (built in 2012), resold by Mingde Heavy Industry (Location Comments News), and the 20,500 DWT bulk carrier "Union Emma" (built in 1984).
