Recently, Pacific Shipbuilding Group and Marine Capital Ltd. jointly signed a contract for the construction of four CROWN 63 bulk carriers. These new generation bulk carriers will be built at Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Pacific Shipbuilding Group.

Regarding this order exceeding US\$100 million, MCL admitted that this significant decision stems from their full recognition of the CROWN 63 design. Its excellent energy-saving performance and outstanding carbon emission reduction capabilities align perfectly with MCL's preferred vessel type. Delivery of these four vessels is expected between the second half of 2014 and the first quarter of 2015.

It is noteworthy that the CROWN 63 bulk carrier offers a larger cargo capacity while maintaining superior fuel efficiency and convenient cargo hold operations. The vessel utilizes a larger main engine (MAN 5S60ME-C8.1 TII), achieving higher power output through reduced speed. Compared to Pacific Shipbuilding's existing CROWN 58 model, the CROWN 63 employs a larger diameter, lower speed propeller, significantly improving propulsion efficiency.

In addition, Pacific Shipbuilding Group is a shipbuilding enterprise integrating ship design, construction, and trade. Its main products include bulk carriers, marine engineering support vessels, and container ships. As of the end of May 2013, it had delivered a total of 319 vessels, with an output value exceeding US\$1.4 billion in 2012. Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Dayang Shipbuilding) and Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Shipbuilding) are two major production bases of the group, both possessing modern hardware facilities, advanced process layouts, and experienced management teams.
